bryant gas furnace buying guide

Before you dive into the specific brand review, we highly recommend you to read our elaborate Gas Furnace Buying Guide in advance. There are several crucial steps you need to take before you even start to think about the brand.

Bryant is a heating and cooling systems brand that has been operating since as early as 1904. Offering a wide-range of furnaces and air conditioners, Bryant’s long history and diverse product line, including the Evolution, Preferred, and Legacy series models, make it one of the most common HVAC brands on the market today in the United States. Not only do they offer a variety of products, but they’re typically considered to be a good value for their price. Bryant gas furnaces offer some of the highest AFUE ratings among comparative models, especially for variable-speed units, and their three separate model series mean that their products cater to nearly every style of home and budget.

Bryant is also a subsidiary of Carrier, a popular manufacturer of HVAC systems and refrigeration and food service equipment, with both brands being owned by United Technologies. It’s this brand connection that allows Bryant furnaces to retain the high level of quality and efficiency that Carrier is known for while retailing for a much lower price due to the brands focus on a separate market. Here is a quick navigation of this article:

Bryant’s Features Analysis

– Perfect Heat & Perfect Humidity Technology

With Carrier’s patented Perfect Heat technology, Bryant gas furnaces tackle the changing weather with staged heating. When the unit starts up, it begins with gentle heating that circulates warm air throughout your home. As the outdoor weather changes and temperatures begin to drop, Perfect Heat makes sure the heating also changes in order to keep you comfortable at all times. Similarly, Perfect Humidity technology, available in Plus 80v and Plus 90i units, helps to control humidity and in turn, works to reduce the likelihood of mold growth and mildew while keeping the air clean and free of unpleasant odor. Both of these patented technologies work together to create the perfect indoor environment for homeowners located in any climate.

– QuieTech System

Bryant gas furnaces are outfitted with parent company Carrier’s patented QuieTech system technology. Along with insulated cabinets that dampen the sounds of a running gas furnace, the Quietech system design further helps to reduce the noise of induced draft furnace operation and ensures you receive comfortable heating throughout your home without the constant interruption noticeable in other gas furnaces on the market and allows you to enjoy the comfortable heating in peace.

– Low Price and Brand Recognition

The average price for a Bryant gas furnaces is about $2,300. Though the pricing may seem middle of the road compared to more expensive and cheaper units, when considering the quality of the build, it’s a good investment. The design of a Bryant furnace doesn’t stray too far from that of a Carrier furnace, which is known for its high quality and brand recognition, so the value is much higher than initially expected. They also feature some important technologies only available in Carrier furnaces. The high efficiency of a Bryant gas furnace also means that operating costs will typically be lower than a less efficient unit and can save owners money over the lifetime of the furnace.

What’s Difference Between Bryant and Carrier?

Just like Ruud and Rheem, 99% models are identical between Bryant and Carrier, the only difference is the logo. You may notice that the price is different for the same Bryant and Carrier Model, and Bryant is usually the cheaper one. That’s because UTC (parent company) is using different marketing strategy to increase the Bryant market share. If this is the case for your state we recommend you to choose Bryant. The quality and after-sale service are totally identical and you can even use the same parts for repairment.
