This Lopi Wood Stove review will look at the brand’s cast iron and steel wood burning stoves and fireplace inserts including each model’s specifications, features, and prices.
Lopi Wood Stove Review
Lopi, located in Mukilteo, Washington, has been making premium wood stoves for over 40 years. According to its website, Lopi has a reputation for manufacturing stoves with expert craftsmanship, reliable performance, low emissions, and heating efficiency. Lopi stoves are sold through specialty hearth retailers across the United States. One of the negative results of that is that they keep prices closely guarded to give their retailers maximum opportunity to sell you a Lopi stove at a high profit margin. This practice is not unique to Lopi. It is common in the wood stove and pellet stove industry – and the common practice in the split system HVAC industry.
Lopi makes cast iron and steel wood burning stoves in free standing models and inserts that install in an existing fireplace. Cast iron is a classic choice for wood burning stoves, providing optimum performance in a stove that’s built to last. Steel is also an excellent choice because it weighs less and will heat up quicker than cast iron.

Following we will look at the stoves, their features and whether they are worth the cost.
Lopi Stove Advantages
There are several features to like – Lopi stove pros:
EPA Certified
All Lopi stoves and inserts are EPA Certified to burn efficiently with low emissions. The EPA reports are available on the Lopi website.
Hybrid-Fyre
Hybrid-Fyre is an award-winning patented technology and the most efficient wood burning technology available today. It uses catalytic and non-catalytic technologies to create a combustion system that burns less wood while providing the most heat output while burning less wood. See Lopi’s long list of industry awards here, if interested.
NexGen-Fyre
NexGen Fyre uses catalytic wood burning technology Both primary and secondary combustion are used to create a blended combustion system that produces balanced fires with double the BTU range, up to 100% greater heat output, and longer burn times than non-catalytic technology.
GreenStart Igniter
Starting your fire can be as easy as pushing a button with GreenStart technology. It provides a safer way to start the fire and eliminates the mess of newspaper and matches. This patent-pending technology works similar to a bellows, and when you push the button, an igniter heats the air to 1400 degrees F and blows the super-heated air into the firebox lighting the wood for a fast, clean, smoke free, start up. You can also use GreenStart when adding more wood or refreshing the fire. Using dry, seasoned wood is recommended with the GreenStart system. The compressor assembly that comes with GreenStart may be placed on the floor, or hearth, or away from the stove, or may be placed in a well ventilated remote location.
Wood Moisture Meter
All Lopi wood burning stoves come with a wood moisture meter for measuring the water content in your firewood to determine whether the wood is dry enough to burn.
Add Color to Your Stove with Stove Brite
All stoves and inserts can be ordered with a Stove Brite, high temperature (1200F/650C), custom paint color for a minimal added charge. There are 36 options to choose from including matte or satin black, browns, tans, gray, blues and reds. Customize your Lopi!

I really enjoyed the video of the Lopi Endeavor woodstove. We purchased one about 15 years ago and WE LOVE IT. We go thru about 5 full cords of wood a year and have only replaced the air tubes once and the gasket twice. I do have outside air coming in for combustion and was wondering how much more efficient the stove would be because of that? Jim Schultz, Stevens Point,WI
