Manufactured of cast iron or steel since 1979, Harman products have a great reputation for classic appearance, efficient heating, and the latest pellet stove technology.
Harman Pellet Stove Features
All Harman fireplaces feature the proprietary PelletPro System and Exhaust Sensing Probe.
PelletPro: The patented system allows you to “burn any grade of pellet fuel with maximum heat and efficiency,” according to Harman. It’ a bottom-up feeding system designed to burn all pellets fully – no waste, less smoke.
The system provides 24-hour heating with tremendous temperature accuracy – Harman claims it stays within 1 degree Fahrenheit, and independent testing backs the claim. Here’s a video on the PelletPro system.
Exhaust Sensing Probe (ESP) Technology: The ESP employs a room sensor and a probe. The room sensor is placed away from the stove. This prevents the stove from reacting to higher temperatures in its immediate vicinity, potentially adjusting the heat downward before distant areas of the room are warm.
The ESP probe measures exhaust temperature. Harman control boards use data from the sensor and probe to adjust heat up or down to maintain balance throughout the room regardless of changes in outdoor temperatures.
There’s a video on the ESP technology too.
Unique Features on Some Harman Stove Models
Whisper mode, EASY Touch Controls and multi-directional air flow controls are available on some models.
Whisper Mode: This setting reduces fan speed to its quietest level. But keep in mind that a lower fan speed might mean the heat isn’t as evenly dispersed. In short, there’s a time for it, but you probably won’t use it all the time.
EASY Touch Controls: EASY – Easy intuitive touchscreen control;
Multi-directional Airflow: Grates are designed to disperse air right, left and center.
Harman Makes Inserts Too

Harman PelletPro System
To separate the pellets in the hopper from the pellets in the augur and to make hopper fires as unlikely as possible, Harman developed the successful PelletPro System. Paired with the Exhaust Sensing Probe (ESP), feed rate is regulated based on exhaust temperature. With this system, any common pellet variation is accommodated.
Harman P Series Wood Pellet Stoves
A reputation for lots of radiant heat follows Harman Wood Pellet Stoves. Typically, pellet stoves don’t have the heat output of a wood stove, but a combination of heavy construction (lots of iron or steel to hold and conduct heat), smart design (Pellet Pro System, multi-directional air flow), and technology (EASY Touch Control, Exhaust Sensing Probe, Wireless Room Sensor) make the Harman P Series Wood Pellet Stoves unbeatable!
Cleaning. It couldn’t be simpler, by design. Open the door, scrape out the burn area, scrape out the accordion heat exchange, make sure the ash has fallen into the bin below, pull out/empty/replace the ash bin, and vacuum out the exhaust area. You’re done in 20 minutes, with practice.
Hopper extensions are available, but they are not attractive. If extra capacity interests you but showing off the stove as a centerpiece of your home does not, this may be the option for you.
Harman Wood Pellet Stoves are covered by a “Limited Lifetime” warranty defined as: 10 years from the purchase date for pellet appliances, to “reflect the minimum expected useful lives of the (stove) components under normal operating conditions.”
