Efficiency Ratings:

  • Most Armstrong air conditioners have good SEER ratings ranging from 13 to 20, which can help you save on energy costs.
  • Models with a SEER rating of 16 or higher are ENERGY STAR® certified.

Technology and Control:

  • Some units are equipped with Comfort Sync™ technology, allowing you to control your air conditioner remotely via a smartphone app.

Warranty:

  • Armstrong provides warranties that cover various components, most notably the compressor, which is essential for the air conditioner’s functionality.

Armstrong Air Conditioner Cons

Here are 4 typical cons for Armstrong central ac units:

  • Limited Options: Your selection may feel constrained as Armstrong offers fewer models compared to other top brands in the industry. This limitation could affect finding the perfect fit for your specific needs.
  • Costs: While initially more cost-effective, the long-term reliability of some units could lead to increased maintenance costs. Be mindful that a lower upfront price might not always equate to long-term savings.
  • Availability: In certain regions, you may find limited availability of certified Armstrong technicians. This might lead to longer wait times for service and repairs, impacting your overall experience with the product.
  • Warranty Terms: The company’s warranty offerings are not as competitive when compared to industry leaders. It is crucial to read the fine print to understand what is covered and what is not.

  1. I had my Armstrong A/C and furnace installed 21 years ago and have not needed to have the system repaired ever.

  2. I am satisfied with the cooling and mechanical workings of my new Model #4SCU13LB124P, but the one thing I required was that it not be loud at the site of the unit. I am really disappointed in how loud it is. It is on the patio and makes it unpleasant to be outside while it is running. I am sure my neighbors are aware of it.
